I am not a NASCAR fan, but you gotta show some respect for this. Today (Sunday March 16) in Darlington, SC, the Tide car and the Rubbermaid car battled it out to the finish, literally, in probably the closest finish ever in NASCAR. It was like something out of a movie like Days of Thunder. This all happened on the last 3 laps: (Both cars were going balls out-fucking nuts-who cares about tires at this point-slideways drifting out of turns) The Tide car went on the inside to try and pass, and looked like he was going to come out ahead out of the turn, but the two cars' lines came back together, and it was so obvious both drivers knew one of them had to give in and slow down to avoid colliding. They both wanted it so bad they both said screw it and just slammed, joined together! They seperated and the Tide guy fell back about 2 car lengths, got behind and drafted, the rubbermaid guy lost PS - took the next turn wide, Tide guy went to pass on the inside again and same thing, lines came together, both are stubborn and slammed into each other! Only this time, the tide guy is ahead slightly so he turned his wheel trying to push the other guy into the wall / muscle his way past him, so much so that by the end of the turn and going straight again, the Tide car ended up getting pushed-turned about 45(!!) degrees by the rubbermaid car (smoke everywhere) and the rubbermaid car is sort of almost bulldozing pushing the tide car along! As they both slide closer to the wall because of this pushing against each other, the tide car actually recovers and straightens out (which is amazing because it looked like curtains for him) but they both purposely wont seperate and continue to turn their cars against each other, each trying to squeeze and slide their car past the other as they both cross the finish line joined at the hip, with the Tide car ahead by ~ 6 inches !!!
