On the dyno, my EGTs never go above about 780-800 C. But on the street, EGTs right now, at the same boost level, are in the neighborhood of 820-840 C. However, I can have EXTREMELY high EGTs with perfect air/fuel if my timing is retarded too far. So the 2 don't necessarily go hand in hand. I've found too that advancing my timing results in lower EGTs. These results are from my 89 Pontiac Sunbird running 15 psi of boost.
