One of the features of the ZEM is its ability to perform "destructive limits testing". It will let you specify parameters that will blow it up and it goes on the assumption that if you set it in such a way, you have a different goal in mind than someone tuning for optimal performance. This is just a wordy loophole to say that there is no way to make it usable and at the same time idiotproof, so we make it a feature that it can blow it up so when it happens, the device cannot be blamed for doing something wrong.
