Well I was dynoing last night and took some pics of the process.

For the record, the PFC is being tested on my Z and the base maps will be based off my Z. And since it’s being tested the company doesn’t want to give out their name till after they give me the ok. If your wondering why it’s because the # one question is how much and they don’t have a cost figured out yet I hope you guys understand. As for my Z my profile is current but the water injection is turned off for the testing. We also did a leak down on my Z and it had 160’s across the board with #6 being 150 not bad for a motor with slightly over 120,000 mile with stock turbos.

We pretty much finished up on the tuning last night so we turned it up a little from .8 bar to .9bar. This standalone keeps impressing me by what it can do. On this dyno we showed another comparison of JWT at 0.8 bar vs PFC at 0.9 bar (more current dyno) vs PFC at 0.9 bar.

Notice the 24.1 rwhp increase in 0.1 bar. Also if you notice on the sheet at 3600 rpm the boost spike 0.1 bar this is by design. The tuner said he programmed the AVC-R that way for street cars and when I asked why he said for passing which make total sense for me. I asked if he used the same setup for JWT dyno’s on my Z and he said yes to make it a fair comparison.

Also have you ever seen what your injectors do at 100% open on 91 octane. Well take a look at the 6800-7000 rpm. The reason it gets crazy is because the flow is unsteady. Later this week I well be running with race gas to see what #’s we can get, any guess??

For the very, very few guys out there that are skeptical about the PFC all I can say is do some research. You can check out the Rx7 forum and see why they believe in the PFC also there is another source you can click on as well [ http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=0301 ] . I remember one of the forum members here posted this link and it pretty informative although they did not fully take advantage of the T Commander or the PFC. In the future, when I have the Ok, I will do a write up on how to use the T Commander in terms that everyone will understand including me. If you’re still unsure about the PFC then watch and wait because the PFC will talk volumes for it’s-self. I will also keep you guys updated on the tweaks you can do on the Power FC as I learn them. Can you imagine what this PFC can do for the big boys after looking at what it did with my basic setup???
