Message Such a horrible thing to do (my pov as a vet med major). It's just aesthics, and unless you're gonna show him, I say don't do it. No matter how "good" that vet is, there is always a chance of some accident happening during the procedure and permanent damage to the ears. It's a painful procedure for them. Boxers don't have super long ears, so it's not like he is already prone to ear infections. Even with cropped ears, they may occur. A lot of vets nowadays choose not to offer cropping services.

Even though you didn't mention tail docking, I say no to it too, or was his tail docked when you got him (seeing that he's seven weeks old, it must have already been done). Since the main purpose of a dog's tail is for balance, if you dock it your dog will be running in funny circles for a while until he gets used to walking without it.

Yeah he might have floppy ears and a long tail, but that's what makes them soo much more sillier and goofy looking. But hey, it all comes down to your decision. Do what you want with him. But please look more into the medical reasons of cropping, and at least call or check out some of the dogs that this vet has worked on, including just recently done ones and dogs that were done years ago, to follow up on their healing experience.
