Message i have researched all the pros and cons of all different kinds of digital cameras.
And ive decided on the Sony FD91..and this is why.

Flexibility...pure flexibility

Any other camera either has an eternal memory or requires some sort of memory card.
The sony..uses a floppy disc and you use them just like film as in any other SLR camera.
Sure its bulkier and bigger but so what.

The Kodaks, Olympus', Canons, all require you to be close to a computer to download your pics after the internal memeory is full(what do you do if your on a trip half way around the world?)
or...they require you to buy expensive memory cards/sticks that are so small, that your gonna lose one for sure, and..you still require the camera to download...and when this process is being done..your using valuable battery life.

The Sony on the other hand...requires no special softwear to be installed in any computer.
And best of all...floppys are inexpensive.
And when your on a trip...use up 1 floppy....pop in another..and another..no need to download anything...can be viewed in any computer using its floppy drive
If you havent seen them yet..have a look see..

: Im looking for something in the 250-350range. There are just so many out there right now. While I plan to research, I just want your opinions to narrow down the candidates. My current richoh camera only holds 20 images at 640x480 and it distorts colors, pixelates things in the distance, and forces you to use lcd screen as viewfinder so battery life sucks. It is kinda old though and represents older technology. It has served me well though the last few years. I am constantly taking pictures of cars I see in various places. As much as I use it, It is really going to be worth my while to get something that can hold more images, higher resoultion, and preferably on flash media cards.

: Any help you guys could give would be appreciated.
