Message Short of getting them done next to free or maybe some other extreme circumstance (I'd like to hear some excuses :). Too much risk involved even at a reputable place. If one thing goes wrong, it's an engine pull. If a few hundred dollars or so in difference is enough to convince someone to skimp, I'm not sure they should even own a TT. Not to mention the fact that a lot of places charge almost as much as new CHRAs for god's sake...I mean, why!? Sure, stock list price versus rebuild is a big difference, but no one has to pay that. Heck, you can get JWT Sport 500s for way less than dealer priced stock turbos.

This isn't directed at you Drew! I'm glad you asked first instead of DID first. I just mean it in general to those that got them rebuilt. There MUST be a reason and I'd love to hear it.
