well, you probably know what they do already. They vent the built up compressed air from the turbos into the atmosphere. Recirc valves plum it into the intake. My reason for getting the BOVs instead of staying with the recirc valves is that, if the air is just going to sit somewhere and wait to be used, might as well use it to make a cool sound. The argument for the recirc valves is that you're not wasting any air. But trust me, I think the turbo is spinning fast enough to replace what you've vented into the air before you'd even think of it. So it's either have it sit in the intake and wait to be combusted, or make your car sneeze. I like the extra attention too, like when I drive past some ricer and the people looking at his neon lights hear the valves and turn and look at the Z instead (as they should've been to begin with)
