Message	::This will decrease the surface area and prevent sliding. :lower pressure = increase surface area = more contact = more resistance = more traction You want less surface area in the snow, not more. My tirerack catalog says to get the narrowest tire that fits on the rim. You want to cut through the snow, not lay on top of it.
