I have the air guide you are talking about, mine is aluminum, but the material is irrelevant. I can't give you a definitive answer on wether it greatly reduces engine temps, but I can say that it does somewhat. On the Z32, especially the TT, the more air you can get flowing through the radiator, the better. The air guide serves to guide the air that would otherwise go up and ovet the radiator, through it. If I had a conZult I could probably tell you to the degree how much it helped. But I'm sure that it does help somewhat. As the for the material you get, thats up to you. I personally think CF is ricey and looks bad, thats why I got the plain aluminum one. Just make sure whatever you get fits right. The aluminum is nice because it's easy to make small modifications with a dremel. I had to modify mine a bit to fit correctly around the hood latch. I don't know if CF is as easily modified or not.
