| If I post a picture or any other original work on the internet I do not void my copyright on that work. The copyright attaches at the moment of creation and is retained through out all publishing of the work. It is not necessary to register the copyright or to attach the copyright symbol. These serve only to identify the copyright holder and to record the existance of the copyright. If you don't believe this, I suggest you look into the law. By posting others pictures without there written permission, you violated their copyrights and are subject to civil, and possibly criminal penalties. The best you can hope for is to claim that your violation was unintentional (and this might reduce your civil liability).
