Message	you shouldn't be pressing hard on the buff first it kills the buff fast and make inconstant scratches. But Steve is right about that piece not being ready for white rouge. Try something more abbraisive first like a 220 grit they a 320 grit then so on. The white rouge is mostly a polishing compound with very little abraisive qualities. You can't rush through the job or else that is what happens.
