Message	into the filter, then wouldn't most of the oil still drain down to the buttom of the engine resulting not much oil sitting on upper engine for start up? Same result as using other brands filters? BTW, got your car running straight yet? Erick : OEM filter ...i think i am saying this right...the oem doesnt allow the oil to drain down into the filter while the car is sitting. rather it closes off to allow more oil to be in the engine for start up. this was the case on my truck (94 nissan 4x4 v6..same engine as the NA..just about) ...i dont know how it worked or anything..so i have just used OEM always
