| that one out well enough. The entire drivetrain inertial will be lowered slightly, although not a lot. Also, I agree that ther dampe will help over a range of frequencies, much like a speaker will perform over a range of box volumes(springs) for the given cone+spider weight(mass) and surround material and spider stiffness(damper). If you get everything just right you get a large boost in system response. On the other hand, if you change any of the factors you get less than ideal response, but you still get something. My point was, the system on the Z was designed to not be at the resonant point. Changing the mass of the system may move it towards or away from that point. Still, the system will probably remain damped. My guess is that the system will stay damped over "normal" engine rpms even without the damper in place. Run it to 10 grand and all bets are off.......
