So this morning I went out to start my car. Its been a few days since Ive driven it so I oppped the hood, did a quick inspection of the oil level, and did a general survey to make sure everything looked right. Sure enough, as chaos reigns, I noticed a bunch of droplets spurting up near my front pass. injector. Upon closer inspection, a fuel leak! ACk, my Z was leaking fuel BADLY!I shut the car off quickly and isolated the problem to the front rubber fuel hose that connects pass side rail to the driver side. Not the easiest thing in the car to replace... Well the fortunate thing is that I was able to get a screwdrive down there. Turns out the clamp was simply loose enough to allow fuel to run out. Now its as dry as a bone. But I wonder how many dollars of high-priced fuel was wasted and how close to a under-the-hood fire I was =( MORAL OF THE STORY: Even if your Z feels great and your sure its running perfectly, do routine checks under the hood to make sure everything is tight, in good order, and working correctly. You might not believe the problems youll find that are easy to correct. it never hurts to spend 10 minutes making sure everything you can visually inspect is tight and not leaking. Happy Zing! Josh
