| a lot of people (including myself) bought an NA and fell in love with their car. Now I'm not going for all out TT performance and I'm not envious of TTs, but if someone was to come up with a nice package to supercharge an NA just to keep that car competitive by 2003 standards, it would make owning that car a little sweeter. As for your calling BS about clean TTs, I know people who invested 2 years out of their lives in finding one. Depending on which part of the world you're in, it could be practically impossible to find one with the specs/mileage you're looking for. Also, it's not easy to sell an NA and buy a TT when you think of the downtime you may have to spend carless, specially when you remember that most people's NAs are their daily drivers. Also, for many people, the idea of buying a bastard TT engine for which you have very little history and no clue as to how it's been treated previously is again NOT an attractive one. If this particular idea doesn't apply to you, keep an open mind to the fact that to some, it may be something worth considering. No offense, but you're totally oblivious to the fact that many people cant afford to go changing engines left and right (both financially and time-wise). And another thing, I doubt you'd be saying "making a big deal out of nothing" if you considered for 1 second all the technical issues to solve before a decent system can be made available. George
You're not supposed to "respond" to JackB, He's like the three legged dog in your neighborhood. You just kind of watch silently as he hobbles by you. Posted by: niXit on February 07, 2003 at 12:04 PM
