| There are NO kits to do a conversion for a z32...however, anything can be done with the right amount of knowhow and detirmination. A few (3) similar swaps have been done.. all carbeurated small-block Chevy v8's. I believe that most of the swaps were never completed or had hood-fitment issues, but they were all pretty close to completion. The best place to start looking and asking questions of over at HybridZ.org. There is an unimaginable wealth of info over there on just about every Z swap, but finding info on a z32 swap is going to be pretty damn tough... it's rare. As far as what kind of junker to buy... if you're going to be throwing in a 383, then it doesnt matter. You're going to have to get a new tranny, new front suspension, and do some tranny tunnel pounding/cutting as well. The stock rear end will handle a decent amount of power so you'll be fine there on either an NA or TT. Basically, with the amount of work that you'll be putting into a v8 swap... most of the stock parts out of either Z will be ditched for v8 parts. Start out over at HybridZ and get all the info you can... then progress from there. Good luck! -Vann
