Message 1990 TT
2 years ago- tranny blew apart, got new 95 with upgraded parts
3 months later-pulled motor at stage 3; 90's, to I think 92's have soft intake valves that go bad after high miles, (my car 103,000). So, rebuilt heads, oil pump, new water pump, etc. (Note-No bottom end work, this will come up again). In addition to engine work upgraded ECU, injectors, dual pop, boost controller.

2 months later- Increased boost (now running 17 psi) allows bolt which was down in the bottom of the tube leading from intercooler to throttle body, which had been in there for 5 years (fan shroud bolt) to be suck up
into engine wrecking drivers side valves as it bounces around.

fixed it and now at Watkins Glen on my second lap of the day 95 degrees (remember no bottom end work done) oil blowing by pistons unknown to me of course (yes , I check the oil with the O' so reliable nissian Z32 dipstick) Oil gone and crank bearing also NOW gone. Pull engine again, rebuild bottom end completely and in 3 three weeks I'm at Pocono Raceway.

All is good, 1 month later Lime Rock having some high boost problems. Well, looks like 108,000 mi. is all my stock turbos could handle. No money for turbo upgrade this year, but thanks to a good friend, Turbodog, who has offered up his stock turbos so I can go to the track another season. I haven't got much left to replace boys.

I must be closing in on some kind of record.

...AND NOW FOR THE MOST ENGINE PULLS IN A 2
YEAR PERIOD.....

East Coast Z32 Association
