Message I tell stories long, so forgive me for being long winded :)

So thereI was...getting my Z repaired from a 6" diameter rock that i ran over in a Highway construction zone (long story, there was a previous post). Insurance is paying everything less my deductable so I'm getting a lot of stuff replaced. I got a new oilpan, new front bumper (which was unexpected but a pleasant suprise) , new spash guards (front and side ones, also unexpected, also plesant) new H-pipe, passenger side downpipe/cat, and new cat heat shield. I was also supposed to get the rear undercarriage brace replaced because it got bent about 5" upward. I ask to look under the car because I love my Z and we all know how we can be including the manager who kept refering to me as one of those "Z" guys, which felt pretty good ;). They put the car on a lift, and i notice that the rear undercarriage brace is missing (They just applied undercarriage coating over the bolt holes). The mechanic swears that there's nothing missing and if there is, it wasn't there when he got it. After arguing with him for about 3 min, the manager comes over and I explain it to him. He takes me over to the part computer cause he doesn't believe me and I show him on the computer the part picture and number. The manager then comments that maybe I should work there :) So they're getting the part which happens to be on backorder and let me have the car until then. I also noticed it needs an alignment after i got it back.

So my Q's.
Was the stink i raised over the rear undercarriage brace worth it? Will not having one affect anything? I figure better safe than sorry.
Also, they should redo the alignment too bacuse it wasn't out when I hit tke rock right? could any of the work i described cause the alignmet to be messed up?

Thanks,
Doug
