port matching much more than polishing. Polishing is just so damn dirty and time consuming and to top it off I don't charge a whole lot for it. I understand how companies charge an arm and a leg for this stuff, but I am only trying to hook up TT members but it's getting ridiculous now. I don't really make a whole lot of profit off this stuff, so it's getting pretty hairy now. I have cut prices to about as cheap as I can think about cutting them without paying money out of my pocket and going in the red. On your chroming situation, one thing to remeber is a lot of shops will just chrome anything. You still need to sand down the cast skin bumps to get a smooth surface (most shops won't do it without charging and arm & a leg - and don't even do it right.) I sand down the part then the chrome shop would attack it. But, I still need to work out a price with them.
