Message :Here is a classic example of what I have always told everyone......
:You do not need bigger injectors with stock turbos.
correct, but it's crazy to think you will be running 18psi on stock injectors (most have 60k+ miles on them) and maxing them out.
I could run 25psi on stock turbos and injectors until the motor blows (seconds?minutes?).
I think this is foolish. It's obviosly doable, and no one is disputing that. It's just foolish from a safety and longevity standpoint.

:Bigger Injectors would not have made any more power and would not have been safer.
they would be safer, longevity wise.

:I removed 8% of fuel with the AFC at 6000 RPM .....
I concur. 99% of the cars i've tuned require lots of fuel removed above 5k, especially with JWTs chip. I concur

:The A/F ratio at 6000 RPM was 10 to 1
:The A/F ratio on this car with 8% fuel removed was 11.8 to 1
(above 4k).
since turbos come in around 3k, i recommend richening up 3 - 3.5 k.

:We advanced the timing to 25 degrees BTDC to get the highest # with out a hint of detonation at 19 PSI Boost
:101 octane is all it takes to make this safe.....we did run the timing back to 19 degrees when we were done as anything over that was a very small gain.
what about torque? torque is power. the area under the torque should have increased, even if it didn't peak higher/earlier/longer.

:This is fine for 1/4 mile racing also.
:If you are road racing this is too high of boost and the timing should be less as well.
:I do not recommend these boost #s or timing #s for freeway runs....
:Enjoy the Boost and thanks for a fun morning Ryan !
