Message	to check the oil level by inspecting the rough texture on the tip - not the smooth surface. The rough texture is slightly recessed and it holds oil so it will not run. It is the indicator and it is very easy to read. You must also let the car sit for a moment after running for all of the oil to run out of the heads into the pan and checking it when its hot will always be higher than when it is cold.
