hehe here's some backup for NV- i think the all the LS1 cars are a tad faster than a stock TT. even though they have more horsepower and torque and are lighter, the Z somehow makes that up (maybe gearing). anyway, i think that a stage 1 (intake) or maybe stage 2 (intake+exhaust) will take or slightly beat an SS. personally ive raced 2 SSs and 1 Z28. the first one had intake/exhaust/headers/freemods/100shot NOS. i approximate that to be 500HP. he beat me by 3 cars from 50-110 when i was stage 2. the other i raced was stock, maybe free mods. i was intake/exhaust. 55-140 i pulled a car+ on him. the Z28 (probably stock) was a short race from 20-70 when i was pure stage 3. he came out of the turn earlier than me and jumped a car. i hit it from 2nd gear so he took another car while my turbos spooled. by the top of 2nd i was even with him, and i pulled a tad in 3rd before shutting down. for the record, what ive gathered from the numerous forums is this: stock LS1 cars do mid 13s @ ~105. stock TT does high 13s @ ~101. as for quality/handling, i think the posts are fairly accurate.
