| Orlando, FL Now, I live in Tampa, FL...and while we are not perfect by any stetch of the imagination we do at least have a better transit system than our lil' sister to the east Orlando. Traffic flows here, and the ebs and tides are a learnable curve. We have enough Freeways, Interstates and Xways to aleviate a fair amount of traffic...its a pretty good place to drive. Then there is Orlando... I dont care what time of day I visit there the traffic is always miserable. 2:00PM in the afternoon and I-4 is backed up all to hell...at a near stand still. Colonial (Hwy 50) bumper to bumper, FairBanks Ave (AKA Aloma Blvd) backed up from Winter Park to Golden Rod and Oviedo. On the way into town from Tampa I4 backs up at exit 55 (Clermont) and backs up further @ the multitude of exits for Disney. The 417 bypass on the other hand I will at least say is a breez and not backed up at all...but then again the only out there are cow fields. The 408 Toll road backs up all to hell... Yes, nearly every thoroughfare in Orlando seems to be congested. This would not be so bad, except for the fact it stays congested all day! The other major problem with Orlando is the damn drivers. There are enough accidents on I-4 there every year to pave Tampa Bay in wrecked cars... The people there tailgate like no other..and I see the most careless wreckless driving. Yes, its safe to say I hold utter disdain for Orlando traffic and drivers. Tourists and International drivers be damned..its the resident drivers that think they are playing bumper cars! Proof of that...my girl friends 2001 Ford Mustang that has been rear ended like 6 times now...a true testament to the dangers of navigating the insufferable sea of orlando transit. Ok, thats my rant on crappy Orlando traffic...traffic that sucks the marrow of all that is fun in regards to driving and flushes it down the drain. Lets hear of some other places to avoid! So, thats my personal rant.
