I searched, but wasn't able to find any info on this: What's the proper way to extinguish an underhood fire with a portable fire extinguisher? I'm sure it wouldn't be too bright to pop the hood wide open cause that's just going to allow more air to get to the fire and you might get burned when you open it. With most of the fuel-related stuff being located on the topside of the VG30DE and VG30DETT engines, what is the best way to go about extinguishing one of these fires? Through the back of the hood by the cowl grille? I'd hate to have a fire, but even worse, have a fire and not know how to deal with it. Maybe if there's a good procedure, it could be added to the FAQ. Thanks, B()T()S
