Dynamat, Peel n Seal, Fatmat, Raammatt from [ http://www.raamaudio.com/, ] and Brownbread from [ http://www.b-quiet.com/ ] are some of the companies that I have found from reasearch. Having a comfortable, enjoyable ride is part of the experience in driving my car and more and more I notice how loud my Z is. Ever since I installed my rear strut bar and removed a little of the stock dampening material, the car has seemed almost 25% louder inside. I can hear the mechanics of the car, and more prominent are the noises from the road. While some people seem to be skeptic about dampening material actually being effective (I gathered this idea from doing multiple searches...), I'm thinking that it would help significantly seeing that there was such an increase after doing the strut install. Besides $$ being an issue between dealing with which company and how much material to use, what would my options be in terms of where to dampen? I've seen pictures of entire interiors stripped and relined, hoods done, and the inside of the doors as well. Keep in mind that this isn't for the good of the stereo system, persay. Thanks guys. -Tim
If it's not broken, lets take it apart and find out why not. |
