Message :#1) If anything the rear speakers bring out the front sound stage, especially in our Z. Fact is, if you use the factory mount spots for the front speakers, you lose a lot of sound in the floor area. If tuned correctly the rear speakers will assist in bringing that sound to mid level.

Well, the problem with rear speakers is that they tend to pull the soundstage forward so it sounds like headphones, rather than having the sound in front of you. I prefe the sound to come from the front, so I have it faded full forward. This is a personal choice, which i why I said I personally wouldn't put in rear speakers.

:#2) Many speakers take up the same amount of space as a bazooka tube, not to mention you can build the enclosure to fit your space needs in the hatch area. In my opinion Bazooka tubes sound like shit, they have very little punch and often sound "hollow"

Well, I wouldn't use a tube amplifier, but from his post, zxler8 sounds like he doesn't want to go full external amp and sub. Remember that you need to install and wire an amp if you go with a regular sub. So, for easy bass, I still think a Bazooka tube would be fine. It is easy to install, and self-contained.
