Message I have just purchased and attempted to install a strut tower bar that I got off Ebay. I appears to be the same model that everyone seems to sell (F1sports,racesonic,redzone,Drivingear,etc.). I removed the A/C line bracket and mounted the brackets on each side. When I attempted to install the bar I ran into a few problems.

1. The bar was still too long even after I ran the mounting I-bolts all the way into the bar (with the nuts still on them).

2. I removed one of the tightening nuts from the passenger side I-bolts in hopes of reducing the overall bar length. This worked, but I am not crazy about not having both nuts on the bar and not being centered.

3. After I did step #2, the bar fit length-wise, but would not even come close to fitting into the drivers side mount height-wise. On the passenger side (with the bar secured in the mount and the drivers side still loose) the bar has less than a finger's space/gap between the top of the plenum and the bottom of the bar. The drivers side will not fit into the mounting bracket because it hits the top of the metal fuel line that bolts to the top of the plenum.

Does anyone have any experience with this style/brand of STB? If so, your advice would be much appreciated.

I have a feeling that I bought a POS and should just return it.

Thanks.
