Message Put on some MONSTER turbos, high capacity fuel pump and injectors, ridiculous cam profiling, a big intercooler (water-to-air maybe?), redesign the intake (upper and lower) and exhaust manifolds, fortify the cooling system and the oiling system. Increase the displacement, and machine the heads too.

Then get some forged low-compression pistons, resleeve the cylinders with some seriously durable material (a Superalloy, like Inconel, so you don't blow your engine apart), a 4340 chromoly crank and titanium con-rods.

Micropolish every moving part to reduce friction losses, and most importantly reprogram the computer to support a ridiculous redline, like 10 or 11k.

In the end, the power curve will be very peaky. You'll hit 1000rwhp, but it will be so damn difficult to drive it would only be useful for dragging or, maybe, high speed road-course use.

It can be done, there's no question about it. I hate to constantly repeat myself, but old F1 cars, such as the one in the pic below, made over 1000hp on 1.5L engines. However they also benefitted from total-car-tuning and never had to drop below 45 mph except for 1 or 2 corners in the entire season, pit stops and the start of the race.

For a street car, it might be better to aim lower and spread the power band out a little bit. Either way I'd be interested to see what you come up with if your resources are as plentiful as you say. Most people on this board have a a good idea what they'd like their car to be if money was no object. You're one of the lucky ones. Good Luck, keep us posted.
