Message I was chatting with Sparkie today about my turbo's and his and looking for info on the 2835's. Trying to configure the total CFM to RWHP or even HP or get close based on looking at the graphs and information provided by Sparkie.

My email to him:

Hey David was looking over your sight again. Was looking to see Max HP and RWHP potential on some of the turbo's you have on there as well. I see from the map, 1820s' Max compressor rpm is 130,000. It corresponds to 2.85 pressure ratio. That's about 27psi of boost. The most air it can flow is 18m^3/Min or 635cfm and 1270cfm for twin turbos. Like you said, but what does that translate to actual HP and RWHP. Given that I have all other modifactions done to the car with a 3.1L displacement or 89 to 90mm pistons and a 8k rev limter.

Thank, Jerry ( ZBlacktt )

He's reply:

Jerry,

I don't know how exactly cfm is translated into bhp and rwhp. It probably will despends on the A/R ratio. Remember the max flow of turbos is not max hp, max turbo flow is not take place at max boost. Engine flow decides how much hp it can make.

I'll probably plug engine flow into 1820's map later on. You can give it a try yourself. If you go with 90mm bore, multiply every point in the flow chart by 1.075. There you have the engine flow for 3.17 liter. Stock displacement is what...2.95 liter.

David,

So try and give figures for all three turbo's if possible on a stock displacement motor and a 3.1L ( 89 to 90mm bore ).On Max boost. See Greddy TD06/20g and HKS 2835 spec's here.
