If you want to tell him not to speed - fine. But don't give out horrible advice like "you're a fool to fight it." You are an idiot for advising that. Cops suck. acct91: Fight every ticket; period. The only exception being that you are able to do defensive driving, deferred adjudication, etc. Worst case scenario - you lose and pay the fine (EXACTLY the same outcome as 2Zweet would want you to do). Best case - officer doesn't show up and case is dismissed. This happens anywhere from 20-80% of the time but you cannot count on it. If it does go to court and the officer does show up it is possible to get a reduced fine, community service (rarely). There are some really good books you can buy that teach you how to defend youself as well. Good luck.
