How many times have you been to the track with the Z?DIfferent tracks? Different configurations of the same car? Different temps/track preps/states of tune of the Z? While you may not believe it, and you may be too stubborn to change your POV if that is the case, the fact is that these are all factors that may affect your 60ft times. I cut consistent 60fts, but they are lame high 2.3-2.4s in the Z in its' current state of tune. Back when it was stage 3, with the same tires, I had a best of 2.05. Other types of cars, I have cut as good as a 1.89 on street tires. I am by no means saying I am THE MAN at drag racing a 5-speed Z32 - hardly. But I do know a little about it after doing it for 5+ years. If you are saying you can consistently run 2.01s on street tires (particularly if you could hop into someone else's and do it as well), then I have to hand it to you - you are indeed a skilled launcher. If you have cut a 2.01 once, but usually cut 2.2s or so, then you are in the same group as most weekend drag racers I see driving Z32s. Try launching a car with some power and let's see what kind of 60fts you get. Most of us average drivers see those 60fts get worse.
