a judge in court say something so eloquently and so true that it hasn't left me. I can't remember what exactly it had to do with, but it was a contractual agreement between two people that was being disputed. The issue at hand had to to with a loosely worded part of the contract that could have gone in either party's favor. But the contractor kept on with the fact that "they signed a contract which binds them, yadda yadda yadda..." and the judge told him "...and that, Sir, would make the law an ass." I technically should have used my turnsignal to get back into the straight lane. I accidentally got into the turn lane (and did use my signal when I did so), and then realized as I was coming to the end of the turn lane that I needed to go straight. A quick glance over the shoulder to make sure no one is there and move over before I go barreling through the intersection. It was pretty obvious that I do indicate my turns, but in the particular situation, given all the things going on at once, I dont think there really should be penalization for what happened. So for him to enforce the law would have sureheartedly made the law an ass. ANYONE would agree to that. =)
