...and reasons for going to a higher octane gas. If you did you wouldn't have asked that question. Like most things, its not "higher is better", nor is it "higher give you more power". There is an optimal octane amount for all given circumstances: engine dynamics, environmental conditions, etc. I hardly feel like typing all that crap out, which is why I just recommended to do more research. Since you didn't even understand that, I took the liberty to find some useful links for you, enjoy:[ http://www.grapeaperacing.com/GrapeApeRacing/tech/fueloctane.cfm ] [ http://www.factorypro.com/tech/fuel_octane_vs_power.html ] [ http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/autos/octane.htm ] [ http://www.howstuffworks.com/question90.htm ] [ http://member.rivernet.com.au/btaylor/BMWText/technical/FuelOctane.html ] [ http://www.epinions.com/auto-review-6CDA-155BB277-38FF47F2-prod4 ] http://caferacers.editthispage.com/stories/storyReader$339 Hopefully thats enough info for you. if not, please learn how to use search/search engines. Thanks, Adam
