the material, clean welds, and fitment all add into the quality. And I just don't think aluminized piping is nearly the same quality as stainless steel. We have an HKS exhaust on a 240SX and it's nowhere near the quality of my exhaust (which shall remain nameless) when you put them next to each other. After one year, the HKS exhaust wasn't the prettiest of sites. And especially you mentioning rust, that alone should tell you that it's a great idea to get stainless steel. The quality is just so much better (and nicer to look at even though the piping is under the car...lol). And the welds may be nice, but they are also not as nice as the exhaust that shall remain nameless. :-) I agree that the performance gain of all the catbacks are good and that really isn't an issue. The issue is looks, sound, and quality.
