| i spent 8200 with russell on just that 1 bill much less the thousands in used parts i had bought from him the past 2 year - and have never once bashed him on this forum - i tried on several occations to make a very fair deal to make me feel good about some of the shotty work done - he declined. I'll spell it out - i lost 4qts of oil b/c of a poorly installed oil cooler that had a line kinked so badly that it burst and luckily i caught it in time and had people around (greg dupree to be specific) that fixed it for me to get me 1500 miles home. When we lifted the car we saw the horrible work done to the midpipes/downpipes - 15 TTnet members were amazed by the horrible work done - next we noted that only 3 of the 4 greg dupree subframe bushings were installed. Keep in mind this was aside from having my radiator hose blow 30 miles outside his shop upon flying into ATL to pick it up - then also having a completely dead battery (question me on this and HaloZ will surely back me up as he sat with me for the 2hours trying to get it fixed). Not only that but some parts i had specifically repainted to put in the new engine i ended up having to have redone b/c the new painted peices igave russell were scratched to hell (again ask halo or anyone at Zcon) Upon returning from Zcon (6 fucking months ago) i contacted russell (email and phone) about this as i was worried my engine may have suffered damage do to the 4qt oil loss and my general dissatisfaction for what i found wrong w/ some work. I told him that i was going to get a compression test and overall check up of the engine by my mechanic, i was going to have the DPs fixed, and the subframe bushing installed. NOW READ THIS PART:
All i asked for was either a fiberglass hood, a used stock z32 hood, or cash reimbursement for work done. RUZZELL SAID BASICALLY:
i feel the work we did was fair for the price and gave you a great price on the overall work, we found only 1 shop able to do the extentions on the dp's and since we didnt do them we dont feel responsible for that. If you want us to pay for the compression test then we will do it free of charge at our shop - but not reimburse you for it from another shop.
*keep in mind its a 7hr drive each way for me* So i'm sorry if it "erks you that people just come on here bashing w/o tryin to resolve it" but do some research b4 you try to discredit me - go search - i have NEVER ONCE posted anything negative that included Ruzzells name nor his shop- infact the only time i even brought this up on any forum was about a month ago when i posted pics of how bad the DP's were done and that it would require replacement and quite a bit of work and i offered an easy solution months ago and was turned down!
