I use racegas on trackdays too. I'm talking about melting pistons with 1500degF+ EGTs. For drag racing, the temps don't stay that high long enough to heatsoak things to the point of meltdown... but if you are doing 20-30 min sessions on a roadcourse, things can be a little different.
I definately recommend at least a splash of racegas for any real serious driving with a modded turbo car, better safe than sorry. :)
