I just wanted a decent running car for the wife to drive. This is actually the car for her, not even my project...in theory. Besides, the upgrade was another $600 above and beyond the rebuild cost, and I'm glad I didn't spend it, since TEC did the work, and they rebuilt one turbo fine, but the passenger side one leaked from day one. I pulled the motor with 30 miles on it, had them check it..they said that maybe my restictor was missing from the line, or my return was blocked, so I put the stock turbo off my spare 96TT motor on it with the same line and return and it never leaked..so TEC can lick me where I S**T! Anyway, I assume you've seen the dyno sheet, but I will attempt to include it here...and there's been no head work done, other than a valve job..no porting, no polishing, no wacky extrude honing...new seals, bolt 'em up! same ol sticky valves and lifters... Just a swap meet K&N filter up front for $10 plus the adaptor, gutted precats, and away we go! Hey, I'd rather be lucky than good.
