his NA that was the same year/body style (slicktop) and was 128 serial numbers away from mine and bought a TT for ~$8500. I paid $7125 for my Z and have put a nice chunk of money into it. The one thing I didn't think would be the case was the find of the parts - $1050 for a 63K mile engine, tranny, ECU, driveshaft, alternator, PS pump, AC compressor, starter, fan, etc etc etc. That is the only reason I actually went through with the conversion. If I hadn't found all that stuff for so cheap, I would still be driving an NA. I'm pretty fond of my Z - slicktop and it is in excellent shape body/interior/mechanical wise. The car that Vik bought, although it was a TT, was in pretty desperate shape bodywise. I couldn't bring myself to selling my first Z and getting something ragged out.
