...burnouts are hard on cars, unless you have a linelock. If you try to do a burnout with the brakes on, then you are hurting the rear brakes and the clutch. If you are gonna do this alot, it's important; if you do it every now and then, then it probably is no big deal in terms of wear. If you have a linelock, then you are allowing the rear wheels to freewheel while only the front brakes are applied. Ignoring the motor, this allows easy stress-free burnouts, and usually results in better-heated tires as well. If you aren't familiar, a linelock is an electrical solenoid that goes in the front wheel brake line, and is more or less a "pressure lock" that will hold pressure on the front wheels after you have released the brakes. Once you turn the linelock off, it releases front brake pressure.
