| Just got back from winter break w/ 8,800 new messages since my last post, pretty good christmas and new years for me, cant complain. Fill me in on any big news lately since there is no way in hell I am going to search through 8 thousand messages. Anyway on to the race... Coming back up HWY 400 from picking my Mom up from Hartsfield Airport on Christmas day just cruising about 75 mph chatting with mom. Wasnt paying attention to the rear view so all of a sudden I notice a Torch Red Vette passing me to my left. Looked just in time to see a "405hp Z06" badge w/ another "Lingenfelter" badge right above that. Passed me doing about 90 probably. When it passed I noticed another lingenfelter badge between the aftermarket ehxaust tips and a very nice looking spoiler molded to the body. At this point I was like "holy shit!" So I speed up right behind and follow him a little ways at about 95 mph to let him no I was game. At this my mom says "What the hell are you doing!" I say, "Seeing if he wants to go" her: "go where?" me shaking head "seeing if he wants to race" her: "you ARE NOT going to race" Me: "Mom, do you realize what kinda car this is" Her: "I dont care, you are not going to race" Me: "mom sorry, you aren't going to win this one" Her: "oh shit" So I pull up next to him about even with his rear wheel, we are both doing about 90 at this point, Shift to third, stay there a couple of seconds 'till i see his rear end squat a little and I hit it and we were off. Stayed with him a little bit at first and then he pulled a car length from about 95 to 110, then after that (my shift to 4th) he had to have pulled 4-5 car lengths by the time i was to 130mph. Then we had to slow down for traffic ahead. Mom: "I think he won" LOL, no shit, but what a race that thing was damn fast. I thought that '02 911 turbo was fast but that vette would have dusted it. Needless to say it took a few miles to come down off that high. Later
