After running a DSM before switching back to Z's, I got a good feel for the Mitsu turbos. Did some quick research before posting this , though, so : For turbine housings.. ((CM x 8) - 7) / 100 = a/r ratio Example: 7cm housing = .49 a/r 7cm x 8 = 56 ... 56 - 7 = 49 ... 49 / 100 = .49 a/r 6cm = .41 7cm = .49 8cm = .57 9cm = .65 This should only be used when doing bench-racing comparos, as Garret and Mitsu turbines are like apples and oranges. Mitsu's 6cm2, 7, 8...refers to nozzle area, inlet after the flange (the 'A' in A/R); Not inlet flange size (8cm is smaller than 7cm). This does NOT take into account the 'R', with no mention of scroll length @ measurement, but is accurate when comparing Mitsu turbine housings to one another. Feel free to contact Robert and the guys at Forced Performance if you need a more 'authoritative' answer, but they'll say the same thing (I betcha'). Bottom line to me: 6cm2 is too fargin' small
