| Well i think i have finnally decided i am going to do this. I have been wanting to build my Z for a long time. I think i am going to sell my mustang and use the money to build my Z into a monster. I don't go to the track much but i want something that is a beast on the street. I would like to have 550 RWHP. My car is a 91 5speed. It has been taken very good care of since new. It has 92k on it. I will have around $13000 to spend. I figure i will surely blow the stock motor trying to puch that much power out of it. I was strongly considering buying one of the shortblocks SGP has advertised in the classifieds. I would send them some Eagle rods and the block comes with JE pistons. How good are these shortblocks? I know SGP has a good reputation. I know there are a couple of other people offering rebuilt shortblocks with beefed up internals in the classified but can't remember who they were. I figure i will just order one of these versus having mine rebuilt. I figure SGP could proabably build it better than anyone locally anyway. I will try to buy some used heads and have them re done and maybe a slight port job done on them. I plan on running stock cams, valves, spring and all other valve componets. I am planning on going with the PE 1420 turbos since this will be a street vihicle. I think anything bigger will be over kill. Plus i want quick spool up. The parts i am planning on getting are: Short Block 1800 Eagle rods 500 PE 1420 from chip 3200 Stillen intercoolers 950 555cc injectors 800 JWT 555/dual pop ECU 500 Dual pop 325 JWT street clutch 400 Fidanza Flywheel 365 Tein HA coilovers 981 Greg Dupree down pipes 465 High capacity radiator 355 12.5 VR4 brake upgrade 500 SGP polished intake kit 575 That brings the grand total to $11,716 I might not be able to do it all at once cause i will only have around 13 grand to spend. I am planning on having Z1 Motorsports do the swap. Do you think they are capable of handling a project of this scale? I have no idea how much they will charge me to do it all. I know they charge $1000 for the motor pull and turbo replacement. So i am figuring between $2-3000 for labor to change everything and assemble the new motor. I hope anyway. I would also like to change the wirring harness if possible. Please give me some heads up on this. I need all th input i can get. Thanks Shawn
