for me on that one. I never had any of their toys, but I do recall in the 5th grade science fair I demonstrated sacrificial cathodic protection that my father was developing for the state DOT. He showed me how it worked, the chemistry behind it and why its the best thing since sliced bread. He later went on to get several patents in the technology and now has his own consulting business - he is one of about three individuals with knowledge and experience in this field - he flies all over the world to consult businesses and governments about construction techniques, etc.
I guess the apple doesn't fall so far away from the tree afterall..
