Message I did some research on Strosek the last two days and I found "supposedly" the ONLY authorized dealer for Strosek parts (including tailights... which is what I was interested in by the way). This all started at Hot Import Nights about 3 months ago when I saw the taillights in person (the Yellow Jotech NA) had them. Talking to the owner, he said he had to wait close to 2 months to just get the damn taillights and when he got them he said they weren't easy to fit in place. He said it took him a day to work them in after a long day of trimming and some cutting. I emailed Paul Bailey Designs in UK and they said they were a direct drop in, install shouldn't take more than an hour they said. So, I am a little perplexed and I figure doing some more research couldn't hurt. I did a huge search and asked around and came upon a dealer (Fred O'pert racing). I emailed Paul Bailey designs about who their only US dealer was and they said it was Fred O'pert racing. I don't want to stir anything up, but could it be that Avalon Racing does a replica of the Strosek parts? Strosek is a big time Porsche parts maker and they aren't cheap. I could understand if Avalon Racing made a replica at an affordable cost but we are only talking about a difference of $100. $100 less for the alleged replica that may take some time to fit OR $100 more for a piece that is a direct drop in. Anyone have any insight on this issue?
