Message hurt the idle if anything. Going from a 0.040" to 0.035" gap will reduce the spark's core size which will tend to make it misfire at idle more than if the gap were larger. If anything, I would go to 0.045".

That would be interesting to know. I'm going to put some more miles on the plugs and then pull them to inspect. Prob yank them out of there tomorrow sometime.
