| hurt the idle if anything. Going from a 0.040" to 0.035" gap will reduce the spark's core size which will tend to make it misfire at idle more than if the gap were larger. If anything, I would go to 0.045". "Also they might reduce detonation when advanceing your timming like you tried before. I would be intrested to find out." That would be interesting to know. I'm going to put some more miles on the plugs and then pull them to inspect. Prob yank them out of there tomorrow sometime.
