| we are talking street use. And in addition we are not talking about cooling off the radiator we are talking about cooling off the engine bay. Which includes of many things the intake manifold which tends to become heat soaked. The front bumper handles most of the air being rammed for the radiator and introduces air into the engine bay. Also the 300ZX Drag Coeficient is .31 and the sloping glass design doesn't suffer from the problems you are illustrating. I have studied aerodynamics a bit not much but I understand your concern with high and low pressure zones but we are talking about air entering and exitting the engine not going above and below because of the nose of the car. You are talking all theory and making lots of presumptions that some of the hoods have problems when they don't add any more surface area for air to slam against it. The hoods being shown in this thread are non obstructive and have no ram effect.
