Message Your comments make me wonder, because the last place you want to put vents is near the rear of the motor, or anywhere near the base of the windshield. That is a *high* pressure area, and would probably force air *into* the engine bay.

That is common knowledge - how do you think the cowl-induction hood originated - and I've also confirmed that with the open road racers, who run cars at constant speed of 160+. I thought about venting my hood, and they steered me in the right direction, according to their race experience.

Although I suppose that if you're just worried about venting the engine bay while the car sits still on the chassis dyno, it might be perfect.
