Message If your kit will save quite a bit of money, then I say go bigger. There will be more money to buy another set of wheels if this is the case and the brakes will be better in the long run (because of the 13" or larger rotor).

If they end up being 12.5" and fit with stock wheels, then that'll be great too. That's still going to be a huge difference over the stock 11" rotors and should still eliminate fade with race-bred calipers.

Either way, I don't think you can go wrong. Although, you may know a bit better (and Kuah too) how the 12.5" VR4 rotors or 12.75" Skyline rotors work with stock calipers. If you think that it's a real solid upgrade, imagine how it would be with even better calipers. What do you think?

I'd probably be interested whichever way you decide to go. I just don't understand why big brake kits cost upwards of $1800 minimum. It just doesn't make sense to me why that is. As far as I know, domestics pay a lot less for big brakes. Granted, it's probably all about the size of the market. But even so, $1800 seems like a lot of money. Don't get me wrong, I'll do what I need to do. But it doesn't mean I don't want to be smart about what I spend.
