The Z seems to be pretty fragile. If you ever looked at pics of Z at salvage yards, they are usually VERY bad. And i've seen numerous people tweak their hood, fenders, bumper and head lights from a smiple 5 mph collison. Couple this fragillity with a car that makes way to much power for its own good and gets horrible traction in rain and snow and you have a pretty dangerous car. After all the wrecked Z in rain stories I've heard, I don't drive mine in the snow ever and seldom in the rain, but if I do end up in the rain, I drive like an old lady. Sorry to hear about your car though. Not sure if that can be fixed or not. Have to have a body shop do an estimate, if i'ts close, sometimes the body shop will give you a choice to total it or not. If its totaled, you can still pull all the performance parts off at the junk yard to put on your next Z as long as you replace them with stock parts, I've done this many times. On my totaled 240, my sisters del sol, and a few of my friendns cars. You dont need to buy the car back to get the parts.
